We spent the next few days introducing the kids to Kathmandu.

We visited Patan Durbar Square and the Patan museum there.

I’ve always loved this old area, but I had never seen it at night.

By this point, Lucy had hit a wall. Kathmandu can be a bit much for a little person.

The next day we visited our old church, Dakhbari (Vineyard) Fellowship.

Then we had a food tour in Thamel. It was a great tour and I was so pleased that there were still so many foods that I had not tried yet.

With our food tour guide, Deepak, our our new Canadian friends, John.

Rounded that off with a bicycle rickshaw ride through Thamel.

On another day, we were in the Kathmandu Durbar Square when the Kumari (the Living Goddess) was making an appearance. I had never seen her in person before.

This is her courtyard where once a day she comes to the middle of the upper three windows.

We were not allowed to take photos of her, so this is from the internet.

The in between times were spent getting ready for our upcoming trek.

On a side adventure, Tom got a color-changing tea, called "Butterfly Pea Flower Tea" that Lucy loved.
