Paris - Parks and Food

Paris has a number of very pretty parks.

Luxembourg Gardens was near to our place, so that was a first stop.

Pretty walkways, people reading books all over the place tucked in quaint chairs under trees, water fountains, playgrounds and one large pool that you could rent small sailboats to direct around the pool.

Farther out was the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont. Tom and I had been here nearly 10 years ago and I think it’s the prettiest park in Paris. Hillsides, a pond, several playgrounds, winding paths, streams running through and pretty French buildings just peaking over the treetops.

Also, they had some really fun garden art.

And some really delicious banana and Nutella crepes.

Speaking of food, we wouldn’t do Paris justice if we didn’t commit a fair amount of time to eating.

Then we added in a walking food tour in Montmartre.

And when in Paris, try to do a cooking class of some sort. This time we learned how to make macaroons.

I don't know if I will ever be able to do it again, but they turned out pretty well.

2 and 1/2 days in Paris is not very much time, but it is just enough for our kids to list ideas for a return visit.
